We pick up old mattresses, box springs, bed frames and adjustable bases across Fort Myers and Lee County and haul them away. Leave the bed where it is, whether that’s upstairs, in a condo or in the garage, and we carry it out. A single mattress is a complete pickup.

Most calls are one of four jobs: one mattress that has to go before the new one arrives; a whole bed, with the box spring, frame and headboard; several beds from guest rooms, a rental turnover or a move-out; or a mattress the store’s delivery crew left behind. Tell us the size and what else is going, and text a photo of the bed and the way out for a free estimate.

Tell us the mattress size, where it is and whether the foundation or frame is going too. Leave the heavy lifting to us.

Mattresses and box springs

Count king, queen, twin and crib mattresses separately from box springs and foundations. Memory foam can flex without becoming light or easy to control; do not fold or drag a mattress merely for a quote. Show toppers, pillows, bedding and deflated air mattresses if they are going too, so the estimate includes them.

Condition, donation and infestation

Tell us about moisture, odors, tears or known bed bugs before scheduling. We need to discuss infestation and the required preparation before booking, not when the crew arrives. If pest treatment is needed, a pest professional handles it. Mattress donation and recycling depend on condition and a willing receiver, and are never promised as the outcome of pickup.

Hospital beds and hotel replacements

A hospital bed may be rented and can contain motors, battery packs and heavy sections. Confirm ownership before disposal. For multiple hotel mattresses, count sizes and floors, identify protected guest routes and stage only in an approved area. Removal does not include installing new beds or guaranteeing a recycling certificate.

Mattress, box spring, frame and base

List each piece that’s going: mattress, box spring, frame, headboard and any adjustable base. Twin through California king are all the same kind of pickup; a king or California king may sit on a split box spring, which is two pieces (see king mattress removal, queen mattress removal and box spring disposal). Memory foam and hybrid mattresses go the same way (memory foam mattresses).

Ordinary bed-frame disassembly is included. Unplug a powered adjustable base before pickup; it’s much heavier than a box spring. Drain a waterbed completely and unplug the heater. A wall-mounted Murphy bed is its own job. If some pieces are staying, show them in the photos so nothing goes by mistake.

Stains, dampness and bed bugs

Old stains and wear are normal; just tell us about dampness, odors or pests up front so we come prepared. For known or suspected bed bugs, tell us before booking and double-wrap the mattress in heavy-duty plastic, sealed, before we arrive. We check the wrapping without opening it, and the handling fee is listed on our bed-bug mattress removal page. Torn wrapping or bugs outside it can stop the pickup. We remove the mattress; bed-bug treatment comes from a pest specialist. Tell us about a mattress soaked with bodily fluids, with rodent waste or with heavy mold; a cleanup specialist goes first, and we plan the pickup around that work.

Stairs, turns and condos

A mattress bends around a tight stair turn; a box spring or adjustable base doesn’t, so show the bedroom door, hallway and stairs. The best photos are one of the bed with the bedding off and one of the way out. In a condo, ask management about the service elevator, any covering they require and where the truck can load. If you’ll be away, send written instructions, access details and someone we can reach, and we can send photos when the room is clear.

Retailer haul-away or curbside?

If a new mattress is being delivered, ask the store exactly what its haul-away takes (often just the one mattress, not the frame or a second bed). Lee County and the cities also collect mattresses at the curb if you can get it there; our disposal guide has the rules for each area. We’re the easier option when it’s upstairs, when there’s more than one bed, or when other furniture is going too.

What happens to it

Even a clean, barely used mattress is hard to donate here: Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore and Goodwill Southwest Florida both turn away used mattresses and box springs. Metal bed frames go to recycling when practical, a sturdy frame or headboard can be donated when a local organization accepts it, and the rest goes to appropriate disposal.

What changes the price

How many pieces, their sizes, where they are in the home and their condition. A dry twin by the door is quicker than a king and its base on the third floor. You get one written price before we start, and anything added is priced with you first. Same-day and next-day pickup may be available depending on the schedule. See how pricing works. Curbside rules for mattress differ across Lee County

  • Fort Myers: weekly bulk pickup up to 4 cubic yards, often on a different day from trash.
  • Cape Coral: same day as trash, within 3 feet of the road, nothing over 150 pounds.
  • Fort Myers Beach: free WM special pickup; not at the curb more than 24 hours early.
  • Sanibel: sofas, chairs and mattresses go out with regular garbage.
  • Unincorporated Lee County: picked up as needed; set out like garbage, within 6 feet of the road.

From each jurisdiction’s official collection pages, checked October 13, 2026. We carry it out from wherever it sits, anywhere in Lee County.
