We Came for Fort Myers. We Stayed for the Junk.

That part was easy.

We love it here.

Our group of friends had spent enough time around Fort Myers and Southwest Florida to know this was a place where we wanted to build something. And Sanibel Island has always held a particularly special place in our hearts.

There’s something about this part of Florida that gets into you.

The water. The palms. The neighborhoods. The islands. The people. The sunsets that make you stop whatever you’re doing for five minutes.

Even the humidity eventually becomes… well, no. We still haven’t learned to love the humidity.

But we love just about everything else.

So after years of experience operating junk removal businesses in other markets, we decided to bring what we had learned to Fort Myers.

Not because somebody handed us a spreadsheet and told us Southwest Florida looked like a good “market opportunity.”

Because we actually wanted to be here.

There’s a difference.

Nobody grows up dreaming of becoming an expert in old mattresses, broken hot tubs, abandoned refrigerators and garages where the back wall hasn’t been seen since 2007.

Yet somehow, here we are.

And we’re pretty darn good at it.

We built Fort Myers Junk Removal around a simple idea: make getting rid of stuff ridiculously easy.

One of the things this business teaches you quickly is that the word junk isn’t particularly accurate.

A dresser collecting dust in a garage may still have years of life left in it.

Household goods from an estate cleanout may still be useful to someone right here in Southwest Florida.

That’s why, when circumstances and item condition allow, we look for opportunities to donate, reuse or recycle what we remove rather than automatically treating everything like trash.

Will every broken recliner find a beautiful second life?

Absolutely not.

Some recliners have fought their final battle.

But when something can reasonably be used again, we’d much rather see it get another chance.

Fort Myers Junk Removal isn’t the result of a corporate expansion committee.

It’s a business built by friends.

Friends who have worked together, solved problems together, laughed at each other, argued over better ways to do things, and somehow decided that moving several thousand pounds of other people’s belongings was a perfectly reasonable way to spend our lives.

That friendship matters because it shaped the company we’re building.

We want to answer the phone.

We want to explain what things cost.

We want customers to feel comfortable asking questions.

We want to do what we said we were going to do.

And if something goes wrong, we want to own it and make it right.

None of those ideas are revolutionary.

They shouldn’t be.

But we’ve been in business long enough to know that doing the simple things consistently well can be surprisingly uncommon.

We’ve hauled junk in other places.

We’ve built companies in other places.

But Fort Myers is something we’re genuinely excited about.

We’re here because we chose this community. We love Southwest Florida, we have a particular soft spot for Sanibel Island, and we want Fort Myers Junk Removal to become the kind of local company people feel comfortable recommending to a neighbor.

Not because we claim to be perfect.

Not because we have a truck and a clever logo.

But because, job after job, we earn it.
