A simple metal frame is a different pickup from a storage bed with drawers or a large headboard assembled upstairs. Show the complete bed before taking it apart. Include side rails, slats, drawers and any pieces stored elsewhere.
Tell us whether the mattress and box spring are also leaving. They are separate items in the removal list, even when they are photographed on the bed.

A waterbed must be completely drained and its heater unplugged before pickup; a folding futon needs its frame and mattress listed separately.
Show how the frame is put together.
Photograph the headboard, footboard, side rails and accessible connections without lifting the bed. Tell us if it was assembled in the room and whether parts are damaged or missing. Routine disassembly can be reviewed as part of the pickup; a photograph helps avoid guessing what tools and labor the construction requires.
Keep hardware from any work already done in a closed, labeled container. Loose rails leaning across the exit can make access harder. You do not need to dismantle the frame merely to request an estimate.
Storage and powered bases need their own description.
Empty ordinary drawers of belongings before removal. Disclose lift-up storage, an adjustable powered base or a wall-mounted bed system. Do not release springs, actuators or counterweights to make the frame easier to move.
A wall bed or attached headboard may involve more than ordinary freestanding furniture. Show the attachments and obtain a specific agreement about what we can remove before assuming wall work or mechanism dismantling is included.
Long rails and tall headboards still have to turn.
Include the bedroom doorway, landing and narrowest hallway in the photos. A frame that comes apart may still have a headboard too tall for an easy turn. Tell us about elevators and the route to the loading area.

Curbside rules for bed frame differ across Lee County
- Fort Myers: weekly bulk pickup up to 4 cubic yards, often on a different day from trash.
- Cape Coral: same day as trash, within 3 feet of the road, nothing over 150 pounds.
- Fort Myers Beach: free WM special pickup; not at the curb more than 24 hours early.
- Sanibel: sofas, chairs and mattresses go out with regular garbage.
- Unincorporated Lee County: picked up as needed; set out like garbage, within 6 feet of the road.
