We can remove a futon frame, its mattress or both. Tell us what is going and what you want to keep. A wooden folding frame, a metal click-flat frame and a couch with a hidden pull-out bed aren’t built the same way, so one clear photo helps more than trying to name the mechanism.
Leave it in its current position if it’s jammed or damaged. You don’t need to wrestle it closed or carry it outside. Include the doorway and any stairs, and use the couch guide for the broader pickup and condition questions.

A mechanism that is jammed open may change the clearance through the doorway. Do not force it shut for the estimate. Photograph the position it is in and describe damaged joints or loose parts.
Ordinary frame disassembly can be reviewed for removal. Cutting for disposal needs written approval; if the futon is staying, we leave it as it is.
The mattress has its own condition questions.
State whether the mattress is leaving with the frame. Disclose pests or contamination before scheduling so readiness can be discussed, rather than covering the condition and treating it as ordinary upholstery.

Keeping the mattress or part of the frame?
If the mattress is staying but the frame is leaving, identify where the mattress you’re keeping belongs before work. If part of the frame stays, describe how it is attached. The crew does not decide whether remaining components can form a usable bed.
List other seating in the same request so the price reflects the agreed load. This is removal, not transport or reassembly for a new owner.
Curbside rules for futon differ across Lee County
- Fort Myers: weekly bulk pickup up to 4 cubic yards, often on a different day from trash.
- Cape Coral: same day as trash, within 3 feet of the road, nothing over 150 pounds.
- Fort Myers Beach: free WM special pickup; not at the curb more than 24 hours early.
- Sanibel: sofas, chairs and mattresses go out with regular garbage.
- Unincorporated Lee County: picked up as needed; set out like garbage, within 6 feet of the road.
