Bulk, yard and trash pickup in Cape Coral
In the City of Cape Coral, in Lee County, bulk items go out on your regular trash day and Waste Pro picks them up with everything else. Place them within 3 feet of the road and unstacked; no single item may weigh more than 150 pounds. Construction debris, bathtubs, fence sections and central A/C units aren’t collected.

Your bulk day is your trash day
Cape Coral runs its own program and Waste Pro does the collecting. Garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk all go on the same day; the City’s trash-day lookup gives yours. Carts can go out no earlier than 5 p.m. the day before, and service starts at 5 a.m. from May through September and 6 a.m. from October through April, so set out the night before in summer. Report a missed pickup after 6 p.m. through 311.

What bulk pickup takes
Furniture, mattresses, TVs, up to two pallets, tires off the rim, and carpet cut to 4-foot lengths and bundled at 40 pounds or less. A hot tub can go only if it’s cut into pieces one person can handle. Anything that fits in your cart should go in the cart.

What it won’t take
Construction and demolition debris, contractor waste, bathtubs, fence sections, insulation, patio doors, propane and gas cans, central A/C units, and any single item over 150 pounds. Move-outs aren’t normal bulk pickup: they have to be scheduled, and the City notes a fee may be charged. Appliances are scheduled separately with Waste Pro at no charge.

Yard waste
Bundles up to 6 feet long and 50 pounds, branches no thicker than 4 inches, palm fronds in one neat pile facing the same way. Clippings go in brown paper bags or cans of 40 gallons or less; yard waste in plastic bags gets collected as bulk instead. Land-clearing debris costs extra, contractors have to remove their own waste, and nothing is collected from vacant lots.

The residents’ drop-off site
Cape Coral residents can take bulk items to the drop-off at the North Cape Government Complex, 1200 Kismet Parkway (enter from NW 14th Avenue), Tuesday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring proof of residency. It doesn’t take construction debris, even from residents, or household chemicals, which go to Lee County’s Topaz Court facility.

When a private haul makes sense in Cape Coral
Most of the things Cape Coral excludes are exactly what people need gone: a bathtub from a bathroom remodel, old fence sections, insulation, a central A/C unit, a hot tub you don’t want to cut up yourself, or anything over 150 pounds, like a piano or a safe. Renovation leftovers go to construction debris removal, and a whole-house clear-out to move-out cleanouts. We carry it out from wherever it sits.
