Cast iron can need extra crew and handling equipment, especially upstairs or in a raised home. Point out jetted equipment, wires, pipes and any sharp cut edges. If the tub is still installed, show the surround and the walls around it. Water and power are disconnected by a licensed plumber or electrician before we start; tell us who is handling it.
The outside of the tub determines its carrying shape
A lightweight-looking enamel surface can cover a heavy cast-iron body. Feet, a support frame and attached pump equipment can project beyond the rim. Leave the prepared tub supported and identify the complete assembly. A jetted tub has additional motor and electrical preparation beyond ordinary plumbing release.
Material, stairs and tight bathroom turns drive the lift
Acrylic and fiberglass shells handle differently from cast iron or steel. A tub upstairs can need more crew and equipment than the same tub beside loading. Sharp broken edges and loose feet also affect support. Tearing out an installed tub and its surround goes in the same estimate; plumbing or electrical disconnection by a licensed trade is separate.

- Cape Coral: not collected at the curb (bathtubs, fence sections, insulation and patio doors are excluded).
- Fort Myers Beach: wood fencing up to 2 yards a week stacked; chain-link by special pickup.
