Fort Myers Junk Removal removes one standard piano in Lee County, starting at $295.
Starting at $295
One standard piano
- Included
- Labor, lifting/loading, haul-away, transportation, and standard disposal/recycling fees for the described item
- What changes the price
- Size/weight, quantity, pickup access, disassembly
- Add-on charges
- Quoted before work for unusual access, extra-heavy/oversized handling, disassembly, or non-standard disposal when applicable
We remove upright pianos, and baby grands and grands after a look at the piano and the way out. Start with photos of the instrument and every part of the way out. You don’t need to tilt it, pull it from the wall or try to estimate its weight yourself.
An upright beside a ground-floor door and a grand upstairs are very different jobs. We agree on suitable people, equipment and a safe route before accepting the pickup. Concert grands and difficult removals may need a specialist. If you want the piano kept and delivered elsewhere, arrange a piano mover instead.
Every piano pickup is agreed individually. Grands, stairs with turns and walk-up condos need an on-site look; we confirm suitable equipment and safe handling before booking.
Planning your piano removal
Heavy instrument: upright configuration, grand disassembly and stair turns are separate assessments.
- Before pickup
- Identify type, brand/model and dimensions if known.
- Resolve valuation or a recipient before authorizing disposal.
- Where it is and how to reach it
- Stair count, width, turns, landings and condition.
- Floor type, thresholds, elevator depth and loading approach.
- Useful photos
- Entire piano and accessible label; all proposed exits.
- Each staircase and landing, floor transitions and parking.
- What affects the quote
- Type and documented weight where available; dismantling needs.
- Crew/equipment requirements, stair route and floor protection.
An upright and a grand need different plans.
Describe whether it is a spinet, console, studio, full upright or player piano, or a baby grand or grand. If you do not know, send the overall shape and label. Maker information can help establish dimensions and weight without inventing a universal piano limit.
Grands need a quick on-site visit first. Their legs, lyre and lid affect the removal sequence, and the required handling equipment must be confirmed. Do not remove those components yourself to make the piano easier to quote. Concert grands may require a specialist referral.
The turn at the landing can decide the job.
Provide the number of steps, clear stair width, railings, landing shape and door position. Include exterior stairs on elevated homes. A piano on stairs with turns, or in a walk-up condo, needs an onsite look rather than a price based only on the instrument photo.
For elevator access, provide usable depth and the building’s vendor route. Show thresholds and floor changes between the room and loading position. Floor protection is part of planning; it does not make weak steps or soft flooring safe or create a zero-damage guarantee.
Removal is different from preserving an instrument for a move.
If the piano might have value, have an appropriate piano technician or appraiser assess it before disposal. Donation depends on a recipient agreeing to take it. A piano you intend to keep or deliver elsewhere belongs in a moving discussion with a suitable specialist.
Work needing structural changes, a crane or rigging is outside ordinary removal. If a piano needs more than that, we’ll tell you and point you to a piano mover.
Send the piano and the whole way out together.
Include type/model, size, floor and route photos, parking and the property contact. Say whether stairs or access have changed since the piano arrived; an old delivery route may no longer exist. Do not lean, tip or lift the instrument to expose a label.
Ordinary chairs and cabinets can be described through furniture removal, but identify the piano separately in a mixed cleanout.
Where it can go in Lee County
If you’d rather handle some of it yourself, or it’s still worth giving away, these are the local options. Each organization decides what it accepts, so check with them before you load the car.
