We remove unwanted guitars, drums, keyboards and other musical equipment, including cases, stands and amplifiers. Settle any resale, sentimental or reuse decisions first so the instruments released for pickup are clearly identified.
Keep instruments and their own accessories together
A room of music gear can contain small valuable parts alongside bulky equipment. Check cases and pockets for microphones, pedals, cables, documents and personal belongings you are keeping.
- Group each released instrument with its case or stand if those are leaving too.
- Keep loose drum hardware and small attachments together instead of leaving them across the floor.
- Separate power supplies and pedals needed for retained equipment from the removal group.
A keyboard, an amplifier and a piano are different jobs
The instrument’s name does not always explain the handling. A portable keyboard lifts off a stand; a large console, weighted keyboard or amplifier can be much heavier and harder to turn through a doorway.
Portable instruments and loose equipment
Identify the cases, stands and amplifiers as well as the instruments. Their combined bulk can exceed the instruments themselves, especially in a rehearsal or storage room.
Organs and pianos
Use the organ removal or piano removal guidance for those heavier pieces. Stairs, tight turns, the instrument’s construction and available handling space need to be considered before moving it.
Resolve value and reuse before the pickup
We remove equipment once you’ve decided it’s going. If a piece may be valuable, ask an appropriate specialist before releasing it. A school, musician or other recipient needs to accept the actual instrument and condition before delivery is planned. An arranged recipient delivery can form part of the paid job when the route works.
During an estate cleanout, keep undecided instruments separate from the contents already released for removal.
Equipment weight, cases and access determine the work
The mix of instruments, heavy amplifiers, storage cases and stands sets the load. Ordinary equipment disassembly, upstairs rooms and the distance to loading affect the labor. Describe the complete group and any especially heavy unit so a room of equipment is not estimated as a few handheld instruments.
Where it can go in Lee County
If you’d rather handle some of it yourself, or it’s still worth giving away, these are the local options. Each organization decides what it accepts, so check with them before you load the car.
