Part of our Furniture Removal service
An ordinary sofa, a sectional that fills half the room or a sleeper hiding a heavy bed inside: tell us which one you have. Include an ottoman or separate chaise if it is leaving too. Tell us about powered seats and anything still connected to an outlet. If you know the model or approximate dimensions, include them; do not lift or overturn the couch to find a label.
Then show the route it must travel. A photograph from the sofa toward the room’s doorway is useful, followed by the hallway, stair landing or elevator and the path to loading. Mention a narrow turn or a doorway that has changed since the couch arrived. Do not assume the original delivery route is still available.
For other furniture leaving at the same time, use the furniture removal guide to describe the full load. If a bed frame or a few tables are going too, show those in the photos so we can include them in the same estimate.

What we haul
Specifically, what we take for couch removal.
- One-piece sofas and loveseats
- Sectionals, including the individual sections and chaise you want removed
- Sleeper sofas and pull-outs (tell us there’s a bed inside)
- Reclining sofas, recliners and matching seating included in the agreed load
How we work
What the carry-out involves.
Routine disassembly with basic fasteners is included. Legs, removable backs or detachable sectional pieces may solve a tight turn. The crew secures a sleeper mechanism closed before carrying it and separates sectional connectors and unplugged power harnesses. A wider permitted exit through the lanai may be worth assessing before cutting a sofa. Tell us whether sections disconnect, but leave an unfamiliar connector or heavy sleeper mechanism alone. Show the full exit path before booking, including a changed doorway or a landing that was not part of the original delivery route.
We look for the least disruptive safe method first. When necessary and authorized, a standard hinged door can generally be removed and reinstalled. Cutting a discarded couch apart is case by case: upholstery, framing, nearby surfaces and the mess all matter. Frames, trim, jambs and structural components stay in place, and we work to protect the home. For balcony removal, hoisting or specialized rigging, send photos or call. We’ll tell you what we can take on and how the rest gets handled.
Check cushions and pockets for what you want to keep. Clear loose objects from the route without moving the sofa yourself. Reasonable floor and door protection, agreed carry-out and a broom-clean sweep are included. Tell us about damaged frames, loose parts, stains, mold or pests ahead of time so the crew comes prepared.
After pickup, a couch in good, clean condition can be donated when a local organization accepts it. Metal sleeper and recliner mechanisms go to recycling when practical, and the rest goes to appropriate disposal.
Pricing
How pricing works.
What changes the price: the couch’s size and weight, how many sections it has, a sleeper or power recliner inside, and the carry: stairs, an elevator or a long walk to the truck. None of these adds an automatic fee; send the full picture so the price you get is for the actual pickup.
A minimum charge applies even to a single item. We put the agreed work and price in writing before loading. If the job changes, we explain the new price and get your written approval before doing the extra work. How pricing works explains the shared policy. If a new sofa is coming, ask about timing before you set the delivery; the pickup is booked once you approve the price and we confirm the time. Same-day and next-day pickup may be available depending on the schedule; see same-day junk removal.
Before confirming pickup
What needs a different route — for this item.
Damage, contamination or an unusual setup can change how an item must be handled. Describe these conditions before booking so we can confirm preparation and plan how it’s handled.
- Bed bugs: tell us before pickup. The couch needs to be completely double-wrapped in heavy-duty plastic and securely sealed before we arrive; the crew checks the wrapping without opening it. Bed-bug handling and fees
- Water damage, mold, pests, unknown substances or unsafe conditions: tell us before scheduling. Heavy mold or active pests need a remediation or pest specialist first; we’ll plan the removal around that work.
- Balcony lifts, hoisting, rigging or anything structural: send photos or call. We’ll tell you what we can take on and how the rest gets handled.
