Fort Myers Junk Removal removes one standard bunk bed in Lee County, starting at $129.
Starting at $129
One standard bunk bed
- Included
- Labor, lifting/loading, haul-away, transportation, and standard disposal/recycling fees for the described item
- What changes the price
- Size/weight, quantity, pickup access, disassembly
- Add-on charges
- Quoted before work for unusual access, extra-heavy/oversized handling, disassembly, or non-standard disposal when applicable
A stacked frame can include guardrails, a ladder, under-bed drawers, a trundle or a desk. The removal list needs to include those parts, particularly when one mattress or a separate piece of storage furniture is staying.
Send a full-room view before dismantling anything. Fort Myers Junk Removal can include ordinary furniture disassembly in the agreed work. A bed fixed into the walls or combined with built-in cabinetry needs a closer look; it is not automatically the same job as a freestanding bunk frame.
Planning your bunk bed removal
Stacked frames need controlled disassembly and a complete component list.
- Before pickup
- Remove bedding, toys and drawer contents; mark mattresses or parts that stay.
- Describe wall anchors, a trundle, desk or storage attached to the frame.
- Where it is and how to reach it
- Space around the bed for disassembly and the route from the bedroom.
- Stairs, ceiling clearance and narrow landings.
- Useful photos
- Whole frame with ladder, guardrails and under-bed attachments.
- Accessible fasteners or labels and any wall connections; hallway route.
- What affects the quote
- Frame configuration, attached components, mattresses and tool time.
- Stair carry and space available to separate components.
Decide which parts leave together.
List the upper and lower bed, both mattresses, ladder, guardrails and any trundle. If the unit has a desk or drawers built into it, photograph those too. Empty storage before pickup; contents add weight and can hide belongings that were never meant to be discarded.
Keep instructions should describe actual pieces, not just “the bottom half.” Some components may be shared by the two levels. We review whether the proposed removal leaves a separate piece or would require rebuilding what stays. If part of the set stays, plan who will reassemble it.
Leave the frame stable until the work is planned.
Bunk beds often need disassembly before they can pass through a bedroom door. We review the frame and accessible fasteners rather than assume it will come apart like a different model. Missing hardware, damaged rails or improvised repairs can change the sequence.
You do not need to loosen supports or climb the bed to take photographs. Keep children and pets away from the work area and remove loose belongings first. If you have the maker’s instructions, they can help identify the construction, but we can start the discussion with clear photos.
Distinguish a bunk frame from a built-in room feature.
Tell us whether the frame is freestanding, has ordinary safety anchors, or forms part of a wall-mounted platform or built-in cabinet. Anchored furniture needs approval before work. Removal does not include patching anchor holes or changing structural parts of a room.
Do not assume that taking away a bed includes removing wall panels, permanent stairs, lighting or electrical fittings. Identify those connections early. If the job needs trade work or structural alteration, that must be resolved outside ordinary furniture removal.
Price the bedroom and stair route together.
Long rails and headboards may turn differently from a mattress. Show the bedroom doorway, passage to the stairs and each landing. In an apartment, provide the service-elevator rules and loading arrangements rather than assuming that a disassembled bed fits any lift.
The bed-frame guide covers ordinary frames and powered bases; mattress pickup addresses mattress preparation. Include all pieces in one request so the written estimate covers everything you want removed from the bedroom.
