We remove queen mattresses from the room where they sit, with the carry-out planned before booking. Identify the mattress, any foundation and the bed frame separately so only the selected pieces leave.

Mattress-only or complete bed pickup
Photograph the mattress and the path through doors and stairs. There is no need to drag it to the curb for an estimate. Include its condition and disclose pests or moisture in advance. Bed-frame dismantling and powered bases are separate parts of the scope, while retained bedding and personal belongings should be set aside.
Choose between a curbside option and a bedroom carry-out
Public bulky collection can be useful if the service for your address accepts the mattress and you can place it correctly. That still leaves the work of getting it out of the bedroom. We handle that carry. A separate bed-frame removal can include ordinary dismantling if the old frame also needs to leave.
The foundation can be harder to turn than the mattress
A queen mattress may flex around a corner that a one-piece foundation cannot. Count the foundation, frame and topper separately, including any split foundation pieces. Mattress construction, stairs and the landing turn determine handling. Condition matters too: ordinary dry wear differs from a wet mattress or one needing pest containment.
Curbside rules for queen mattress differ across Lee County
- Fort Myers: weekly bulk pickup up to 4 cubic yards, often on a different day from trash.
- Cape Coral: same day as trash, within 3 feet of the road, nothing over 150 pounds.
- Fort Myers Beach: free WM special pickup; not at the curb more than 24 hours early.
- Sanibel: sofas, chairs and mattresses go out with regular garbage.
- Unincorporated Lee County: picked up as needed; set out like garbage, within 6 feet of the road.
From each jurisdiction’s official collection pages, checked October 13, 2026. We carry it out from wherever it sits, anywhere in Lee County.
