A matching set can include a bed frame, dresser, mirror, nightstands and an armoire, while the mattress or powered base comes from somewhere else. List each piece and mark anything staying. That lets us quote the furniture you actually want removed.
You do not need to carry furniture out of the bedroom. Empty storage and show the room, including the doorway and access to stairs or the elevator.
Planning your bedroom set removal
Mixed bedroom components with different preparation and carrying needs.
- Before pickup
- Empty drawers and under-bed storage; identify personal belongings.
- Count mattresses, bases, mirrors and nightstands separately.
- Where it is and how to reach it
- Bedroom doorway and stair/elevator route.
- Useful photos
- Wide room view with keep items marked.
- Large mirror, frame and powered-base configuration.
- What affects the quote
- All pieces, any disassembly and heavy contents.
- Flights of stairs and multiple trips from the room.

Only some pieces going? Mark what stays.
A mattress staying on a frame that is leaving needs a plan before disassembly. The same applies to a mirror you’re keeping attached to a dresser. Tell us the intended outcome so pieces you’re keeping are set aside before disassembly starts.
For family or remote work, use marked photos and one decision contact. “Everything except the good furniture” leaves an appraisal decision with the crew. Resolve that before the visit.
Different parts of the bed need different preparation.
Powered bases are unplugged and reviewed as heavy components. Ordinary frames can require separation into rails, headboards and platforms. A waterbed must be completely drained and its heater unplugged before removal is considered; it is not prepared like a conventional mattress.
Use bed-frame removal, mattress preparation or waterbed guidance for the relevant configuration rather than assuming one instruction covers every bed.
Mirrors and tall storage change the route.
Show how a mirror attaches and disclose cracked glass. For tall wardrobes, include the ceiling and turning space beyond the doorway. Drawers, shelves and cabinets should be empty; any contents going with them belong in a separately visible load.
The dresser guide and armoire guide cover those handling differences. If several rooms are being cleared, the whole-house guide helps prevent closets and other spaces from being missed from the removal list.
