We remove tile, including pulling it up from a slab, and haul away tile that’s already been removed. Tile and its mortar are heavy, so the price depends on the amount and the access; send photos and we’ll quote it.

Contain sharp pieces and disclose mortar

Show bags, boxes or piles and identify wet material, adhesive and other mixed contents. Avoid overloaded containers that cannot be handled safely. We need the actual quantity, loading route and address before confirming acceptance. If you suspect asbestos, it needs testing and licensed abatement first; do not scrape or break an unknown floor covering for a photo.

Mortar attached to a tile is part of its weight

A box of unused tile differs from broken pieces carrying thick mortar or backing. Keep matching spare boxes apart if you want them for repairs or a recipient. Describe suspect old flooring layers before handling; do not scrape them to identify them. Flooring debris pickup covers the wider prepared floor-material load.

Thickness and manageable containers govern the carry

Tile quantity, attached mortar and moisture affect payload. A small box can become too heavy well before it looks full, and sharp fragments can split soft bags. Stairs and repeated hand carries add work. If we’re pulling the tile up, the estimate includes that work.

Curbside rules for tile differ across Lee County

  • Cape Coral: construction debris isn’t collected, and the drop-off site won’t take it.
  • Estero: fewer than 2 cubic yards a week.
  • Sanibel: up to 2 cubic yards per pickup if the work didn’t need a permit.

From each jurisdiction’s official collection pages, checked October 13, 2026. We carry it out from wherever it sits, anywhere in Lee County.

Dumpster or junk removal?

If you’re doing the tear-out yourself over several days, a roll-off dumpster you load as you go can make more sense. If the debris is already piled up, our crew loads it and hauls it away in one visit. Heavy material fills a dumpster’s weight allowance long before it fills the space, so tell us roughly how much there is and we’ll recommend the cheaper option. Dumpster rental vs. junk removal compares cost and effort side by side.
