Trash, bulk and yard pickup in the Village of Estero

Estero doesn’t run its own collection: Lee County Solid Waste handles garbage, recycling and yard waste, and Waste Pro collects in Estero’s ZIP code. Set bulky items next to your regular garbage; if something doesn’t fit on the truck, the hauler tags it and comes back within 3 days.

County service, Village tips

The Village says garbage, recycling and yard waste are handled by Lee County Solid Waste, so the county’s rules apply. Lee County’s ZIP-code table lists Waste Pro (239-337-0800) for 33928; parts of Estero in 34135 are listed under Waste Management. The Village’s own tips sum up the basics: a 40-gallon can under 50 pounds, and yard waste under 6 feet and 50 pounds.

Bulk items and the 3-day return

Bulky items go at the curb next to your regular garbage. If an item won’t fit in the regular truck, the hauler tags it and comes back for it within 3 days, so don’t take a tag as a refusal. Construction debris is limited to fewer than 2 cubic yards a week; more than that needs another route.

Communities with a property manager

Much of Estero is condos and gated communities. Lee County treats buildings of five or more units as multifamily, and the property manager arranges collection there, so check with management before putting anything out. Many HOAs also have their own rules about when and where bulk can sit.

Chemical collection days in Estero

Instead of driving to Topaz Court, Estero residents can use the county’s household chemical collection events at Estero Community Park: October 21, 2026, and January 13, April 21 and July 14, 2027, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

When a private haul makes sense in Estero

The usual reasons here are the HOA and the calendar: a move-out with a closing date, a seasonal home that needs clearing before the owners leave, a condo cleanout with an elevator reservation, or remodel debris over the 2-cubic-yard weekly limit (construction debris removal). We work within the community’s vendor hours and gate procedures.
