You may know exactly which furniture needs to go. The next step is making sure the building is ready for the pickup too. Ask management about the service elevator, loading space and times a removal crew can work.
Send those details with your photos. We look at the items and the building arrangements together, including any vendor paperwork, before booking. You don’t need to stage heavy furniture in a hallway or shared area while we work out the plan.
Planning your condo cleanout
Private-unit contents with shared-building access controls.
- Before pickup
- Mark belongings and fixtures that stay; disclose heavy pieces.
- Where it is and how to reach it
- Elevator usable size, reservation window, floor and loading location.
- Garage clearance, hallway length and gate/vendor procedures.
- Useful photos
- Each included room and largest items.
- Elevator, difficult turns and permitted loading route.
- What affects the quote
- Contents, repeated elevator trips and distance to loading.
- Who can approve the removal
- Unit contents require owner or authorized-person approval; management access permission is separate.

Obtain the actual vendor instructions.
The resident, owner or manager arranges the elevator reservation and confirms permitted work hours, padding rules and loading access. Ask whether passenger elevators may be used or whether a service elevator is mandatory. Do not reserve a window on the assumption that a requested pickup time is already confirmed.
A COI or vendor-document requirement must be reviewed before booking. If your building or property manager requires a certificate of insurance, tell us when you book and we’ll arrange it.
Where the truck can actually load
Provide the posted clearance and the loading location management permits. A long carry from an outside loading zone is part of the work even when cars can park close to the unit. Include narrow corridor turns and the largest item’s dimensions if known.
An unavailable elevator does not automatically convert a heavy high-floor job into stair carrying. The route and handling must be reassessed. See sectional planning for modular furniture that may require repeated trips.
The owner approves removal; management arranges building access.
Management can explain access rules without authorizing disposal of an owner’s belongings. A remote owner supplies the written instructions about what goes and what stays and names someone reachable during the work. Share keys or codes privately and specify the lock-up instructions.
Before-and-after photographs document the agreed cleared areas. They do not certify a building inspection or complete property turnover. Seasonal-home guidance addresses coordination from out of state; apartment cleanouts explains tenant and landlord removal instructions.
