We tear out flooring and haul it, or collect flooring that’s already up. Laminate, vinyl plank, hardwood and tile on a slab can be removed; for glue-down floors, send photos and we’ll tell you what removal takes. Tell us how the floor is attached.
If another contractor has already removed it, describe the loose planks, tile, underlay and other material awaiting collection.
Long planks and dense tile create different debris loads.
Laminate and wood boards keep much of their length after removal, while broken tile and attached mortar concentrate weight in a small pile. Underlay, carpet and trim add different bulk. Approximate floor area is useful background, but the actual containers, board lengths and mixed material determine the carry.
Identify protruding nails and sharp edges without breaking material to examine it. Leave unknown old flooring or suspect mastic undisturbed. If you suspect asbestos, it needs testing and licensed abatement first. Call us and we’ll plan the rest of the job around it.
Show where the debris starts, not only where the truck could park.
A pile in a ground-floor garage is different from loose debris spread through an upstairs condo. Include the carry distance, stairs, elevator and loading-area instructions. Explain whether another trade needs the same corridor during pickup.
Disclose sharp edges, protruding fasteners, wet material and heavy containers. Do not make bags heavier or carry them downstairs just to consolidate the photograph. Describe how the debris is currently contained so handling can be agreed.
Separate removal from preparing the next floor.
Mark spare planks, trim and unopened product that should remain. In an ongoing remodel, identify the stage covered by pickup so debris from another room does not become an unplanned addition.
If the subfloor or slab needs grinding, leveling or adhesive removal for the new floor, ask us when you call. Subfloor repairs are for your installer. The carpet guide covers carpet and padding; the construction debris guide covers mixed remodel loads.
Attachment method and debris location affect the work.
A floating floor in an empty room comes up differently from nailed hardwood or tile on a slab. Furnishings, room transitions and tight closet areas affect removal labor. For already-detached material, density, board length, stairs and the carry to loading drive the handling instead. Tell us whether you need tear-out or hauling so the estimate reflects the actual stage.

From each jurisdiction’s official collection pages, checked October 13, 2026. We carry it out from wherever it sits, anywhere in Lee County.
