We tear out installed kitchen cabinets and haul them away, or pick up cabinet boxes already stacked in the garage. Tell us which it is when you ask for an estimate.

A kitchen photograph can hide plumbing, wiring and attachment points. Sinks, appliances and anything wired or plumbed are disconnected by a licensed plumber or electrician before tear-out.

Count boxes, doors and loose pieces separately.

Show the complete detached group, including tall pantry units, drawers, shelves and removed doors. Tell us if the pieces come from the whole kitchen or only one section. Identify any countertops, sink or appliances in the same photograph as separate requested items.

Mark spare doors, reusable hardware and replacement materials as staying. A contractor’s staging area may contain new cabinets beside the old ones; location alone is not a removal instruction.

Tell us what is still installed.

Point out wall cabinets, units carrying stone tops and any plumbing or electrical connections. Those connections are disconnected by a licensed plumber or electrician first. Countertops can come out in the same job; see countertop removal for what to photograph.

Tell us which cabinets go and which stay. We take out the cabinets and haul the debris. If the remodel includes structural changes, send photos and we’ll tell you what we can take on and how the rest gets handled.

Condition changes handling and reuse options.

Report water damage, sharp broken edges, unstable boxes and exposed fasteners. Intact cabinets may be useful to someone, but receiving parties can have condition and completeness requirements. There is no guaranteed donation destination, and dismantling may already have changed reuse potential.

Do not hide broken glass or unknown material inside a cabinet box. Show the load as it is so preparation and acceptance can be reviewed.

Coordinate pickup with the remodel’s staging space.

Tell us whether the cabinets are inside, upstairs or near loading, and whether new units arrive before pickup. Include elevator or building restrictions and the authorized job contact. A pile added by another trade needs to be identified before it is included in the price.

The contractor guide addresses trade handovers. Use construction debris removal for the combined load; a broom-clean pickup does not prepare walls or floors for cabinet installation.

Curbside rules for kitchen cabinet haul-away differ across Lee County

  • Cape Coral: construction debris isn’t collected, and the drop-off site won’t take it.
  • Estero: fewer than 2 cubic yards a week.
  • Sanibel: up to 2 cubic yards per pickup if the work didn’t need a permit.

From each jurisdiction’s official collection pages, checked October 13, 2026. We carry it out from wherever it sits, anywhere in Lee County.
