We remove mini fridges from homes, dorm rooms and offices. Empty food and drinks, unplug the unit and show its location, including any cabinet that surrounds it.
Compact refrigeration still needs preparation
Keep the refrigeration system intact. Do not cut lines or remove a compressor. If the fridge contains ice, leaks or spoiled contents, tell us before pickup and agree on preparation. A built-in compact fridge can require more access work than a loose unit under a desk.
A small refrigerator still has a complete cooling system
The compact shell does not make the compressor or tubing disposable packing material. Keep the cooling system intact and empty food, drinks and thawed water before carrying. If a dorm room is also being cleared, dorm cleanouts can include the desk, chair and boxes without assuming a building-owned fridge should leave.
Under-counter extraction differs from an open-room pickup
A loose mini fridge can be carried directly once prepared. A fitted unit may have trim, a tight opening or an awkward power location that changes access. Weight, stairs and other items going with it affect removal; compact dimensions do not mean it can be lifted by its door or broken apart.
Curbside rules for mini fridge differ across Lee County
- Fort Myers: weekly white-goods pickup, kept separate from junk and brush.
- Cape Coral: scheduled with Waste Pro at no charge; central A/C units aren’t collected.
- Sanibel: scheduled with WM; refrigerator and freezer doors must stay on.
- Fort Myers Beach: free WM special pickup you schedule.
- Unincorporated Lee County: call your hauler before you set it out.
