We remove unwanted handheld and backpack leaf blowers after their power source and condition are disclosed. Show tubes, harnesses and accessories you want included.
Gas, plug-in and battery models
Gas-powered blowers must have fuel removed. Do not include fuel containers with the equipment. Unplug corded models and identify battery packs before acceptance; loose or damaged lithium batteries are not ordinary junk pickup. Tell us about leaks or broken parts rather than concealing them in a bag.
Keep the blower’s air-handling pieces together
A blower-vacuum may have a suction tube, collection bag and impeller housing in addition to its blowing nozzle. A backpack model adds a rigid frame and harness. Group the unwanted attachments with the correct power unit, and empty ordinary leaves from collection bags without opening the motor housing. This makes a complete tool easier to identify for reuse or disposal.
Backpack frames and tool collections change the load
One handheld blower is a small equipment pickup; several backpack units with rigid tubes occupy a different amount of space. A long-stored machine wedged behind shelves may take more handling than one beside the garage entrance. Include related string trimmers as equipment in the same load, with each power source identified.

- Habitat’s ReStore accepts lawn mowers, grills, fountains and gently used tools, but not propane tanks, fuel or gas cans. Goodwill Southwest Florida doesn’t take lawn mowers. Sources: Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties: accepted donations; Goodwill Southwest Florida: donation guide
