We tear out drywall and haul it away, or collect drywall that’s already down, including broken sheets and contained pieces. Tell us whether it is dry or water-damaged and what other materials are mixed into it.

Detached sheets, sharp edges and moisture

Show the pile’s dimensions, or the walls you want opened, and the route to loading. Wet drywall is assessed for weight, not priced as if it were a light dry load. Keep screws and sharp fragments contained, and disclose insulation or unknown material attached to the boards. Electrical and plumbing in the wall are made safe by a licensed trade before tear-out, and suspected asbestos needs testing and licensed abatement first. Address eligibility and a suitable receiving route must be confirmed.

Keep attached layers identifiable

Drywall can arrive with screws, backing, insulation or other wall materials still attached. Those layers need identification rather than disappearing into opaque overloaded bags. Keep clean offcuts separate from wet or questionable debris. Insulation pickup is limited to identified, prepared ordinary material; unknown layers should not be disturbed for disposal.

Sheet size, moisture and bag weight affect loading

Full sheets need carrying space, while dense bags can be difficult to lift despite looking compact. Water adds weight and damage can make sheets crumble during handling. Stairs and repeated trips from a renovation room affect labor.

Curbside rules for drywall removal and differ across Lee County

  • Cape Coral: construction debris isn’t collected, and the drop-off site won’t take it.
  • Estero: fewer than 2 cubic yards a week.
  • Sanibel: up to 2 cubic yards per pickup if the work didn’t need a permit.

From each jurisdiction’s official collection pages, checked October 13, 2026. We carry it out from wherever it sits, anywhere in Lee County.

Dumpster or junk removal?

If you’re doing the tear-out yourself over several days, a roll-off dumpster you load as you go can make more sense. If the debris is already piled up, our crew loads it and hauls it away in one visit. Dumpster rental vs. junk removal compares cost and effort side by side.

Where it can go in Lee County

If you’d rather handle some of it yourself, or it’s still worth giving away, these are the local options. Each organization decides what it accepts, so check with them before you load the car.
