Office Cleanouts · Quick answer

Make space without losing track of what stays.

Desks, chairs and storage furniture can be cleared as one agreed job. We review the contents and building access with the person who can approve the removal.

  • Identify the furniture and equipment leaving.
  • Include elevator, loading and access hours.
  • Keep business records separate from the removal.

Closing an office or changing the layout can leave desks, chairs and storage furniture in everyone’s way. Show us what needs to go and the space you need back. We can help with the agreed dismantling, carry-out and haul-away.

Before pickup, secure confidential files and let the responsible IT person prepare devices. Check leased machines and building-owned fixtures separately. Removing furniture does not include shredding records, erasing data, electrical work or restoring the premises under a lease.

Planning your office cleanouts

Before the furniture goes, decide what happens to the records, leased equipment and connected systems.

Before pickup
  • Secure records, drives, keys, badges and employee belongings.
  • List desks, chairs, cabinets and agreed equipment by room.
Where it is and how to reach it
  • Dock, elevator, security check-in and permitted work hours.
Useful photos
  • Each work area, furniture systems and loading route.
What affects the quote
  • Component count, dismantling and multiple-room collection.
Who can approve the removal
  • Name the business contact who can approve removal; equipment owned by someone else needs their permission.

Choose who signs off each part of the office.

The business identifies what can leave and secures sensitive material before work. Filing cabinets must be empty and unlocked. Confidential documents go to a shredding or records-destruction service first.

Devices may retain data even after they are switched off. The responsible IT person or vendor handles data preparation. Leased copiers and other third-party equipment need the owner’s release rather than an assumption that the departing tenant can discard them.

Powered panels need preparation before dismantling.

Cubicle panels, desks and returns may link furniture to power or data infrastructure. Have the building’s appropriate professional prepare the connections first. Furniture disassembly does not authorize trade work, cable removal throughout the premises or removal of building fixtures.

Use the cubicle guide for panel/component counts and the desk guide for returns and hutches. Keep documents and disconnected devices out of a vague “everything on the desk” instruction.

Work backward from access, not only the lease date.

Provide elevator reservations, security requirements and the loading window before choosing a date. After-hours work is by arrangement and must fit the building’s access rules. If your building or property manager requires a certificate of insurance, tell us when you book and we’ll arrange it. Other vendor and onboarding requirements need review before booking.

Agree on fixtures that stay and a broom-clean removal result. Wall repair, painting and lease-restoration obligations remain separate. For the meeting room, conference-table planning helps identify integrated connections and large components.

  • In unincorporated Lee County and Bonita Springs, Ordinance 07-25 requires businesses and multifamily properties to recycle the material that makes up most of their waste by weight, such as cardboard and other fiber, containers, metals or wood. Businesses on 70 gallons or less of garbage service are exempt, and each covered location keeps a Recycling Plan Form on site. Source: Lee County Solid Waste: mandatory recycling ordinance
