Fort Myers Junk Removal removes one standard dryer in Lee County, starting at $99.
Starting at $99
One standard dryer
- Included
- Labor, lifting/loading, haul-away, transportation, and standard disposal/recycling fees for the described item
- What changes the price
- Size/weight, quantity, pickup access
- Add-on charges
- Quoted before work for unusual access, extra-heavy/oversized handling, disassembly, or non-standard disposal when applicable
We can collect an old dryer on its own or with the washer. Tell us if it’s gas or electric and whether it is stacked. A photo of the laundry space helps; don’t pull the machine away from the wall just to expose the back.
For an ordinary plug-in electric dryer, the crew can unplug it and detach its vent duct. Gas and hardwired units need the appropriate professional to prepare them before we carry them out.
Planning your dryer removal
Connection type and stacked configurations govern preparation.
- Before pickup
- Empty the drum and describe the connection type.
- Arrange required professional disconnection before pickup.
- Where it is and how to reach it
- Laundry-closet opening, stacking arrangement and route to loading.
- Useful photos
- Front and accessible model label; visible connections only.
- Doors, stairs and closet clearance.
- What affects the quote
- Stacked or freestanding configuration, tool time and stairs.
- Connections
- Gas supply: professional disconnection and capping before carry-out.
- Hardwired power: electrician preparation. Plug-in electric: crew may unplug and detach vent.
Gas fittings are outside the crew’s work.
A licensed gas professional must disconnect and cap the supply before removal. Once the line is capped, we take the dryer out and haul it away; a turned-off valve alone isn’t enough. Confirm the preparation with the professional responsible rather than treating “not in use” as ready for hauling.
If the appliance is hardwired, an electrician prepares it first. Do not cut wires or attempt gas work to speed up pickup.
For a plug-in electric dryer, we can help with the plug and vent.
For an ordinary plug-in electric dryer, the crew can unplug it and detach the vent duct. Tell us about damaged connections, a unit trapped behind shelving or a stack whose upper appliance cannot be reached normally.
A stacked laundry setup may need more review than two side-by-side units. Identify whether the washer is also leaving and whether any connecting or mounting hardware is shared.
The laundry closet can be harder than the driveway.
Show narrow doors, hallway turns, exterior steps and any stairs. Mention soft floors or damaged steps. Condo elevator reservations and the loading position should be known before the appointment, not discovered when the machine reaches the hallway.
For both machines, use the washer/dryer guide, which explains the limited washer-hose exception. The appliance guide is better for a mixed household appliance load.
