If the installer left your old dishwasher behind, tell us where it is and send a photo. We can help with carrying it out and hauling it away once it has been appropriately disconnected and the removal agreed.
If it is still under the counter, say so. Water, drainage, power and mounting brackets can still hold it in place. Arrange the appropriate professional disconnection first, and don’t pull it out just for an estimate. Once a plumber or electrician has disconnected it, we take it out and haul it away.

Show what the installer will leave behind.
If a new dishwasher is being fitted, ask the installer whether old-unit removal is included and what it means. Some arrangements may leave the old machine in the kitchen, garage or driveway. Confirm the actual handover rather than booking two providers for the same work.
Send an update if the unit’s position changes after the initial estimate. A detached machine at ground level and one still beneath a counter do not describe the same labor. Water or other contents should be disclosed before collection; do not assume the crew can solve an unresolved connection or leak.
New flooring or a tight cabinet opening can hold it in.
Photograph the opening, nearby floor and route through the kitchen. Mention new flooring, damaged cabinetry or anything preventing the unit from coming free. Professional disconnection does not prove that the remaining physical removal is straightforward.
Do not remove trim, cut cabinets or force the machine through a tight opening to get it ready for us. Describe the obstruction so the work can be reviewed. Our agreement must identify the actual removal; it does not automatically authorize alteration of the counter, cabinets or building.
Follow the route all the way to loading.
Show the kitchen exit, narrow turns, stairs and outside path. At a condo, provide the approved service elevator and loading arrangements, including any reservation or vendor requirements. The appliance’s small footprint does not eliminate access planning.
If other appliances are leaving, list them in the same request. The appliance guide explains mixed pickups, while range and oven removal has different connection and installation questions. A full kitchen project should not be priced from the dishwasher alone.
What is included in dishwasher haul-away?
The estimate considers the item, readiness, carry and other disclosed work. We agree on the work and a written price before loading. If a contractor has not completed the preparation, tell us before the scheduled visit so the situation can be discussed.
Broom-clean removal is not replacement installation, plumbing repair or a guarantee about the next destination. Reuse and recycling depend on condition and receiving requirements. For a remote owner, a written appliance list and completion photos help establish what left without implying that the new kitchen was installed or tested.
