A couch in an upstairs room and the same couch beside an accessible driveway are different removal jobs. Bulky item pickup starts with what must leave, where it sits and how it can reach the truck. Fort Myers Junk Removal picks up furniture, mattresses, appliances and other large household items across Lee County.

This is a paid private removal service. It is not your city or county bulk collection program, and it does not create a public pickup reservation.

Check the option that already serves your address.

Your collection provider or replacement retailer may have an appropriate haul-away option. Confirm eligibility, preparation, placement and timing directly with that provider. A mailing address alone does not settle which public rules apply.

Private carry-out may fit when you cannot safely move the item to a collection point, need several kinds of contents removed together or need the access coordinated with a building. See the Lee County location guides for the local planning context. Our Lee County disposal guide compares the bulky-item rules for each city and the county.

Identify the construction, not just the furniture name.

Tell us if a sofa is a sectional or sleeper, a bed has powered bases, a table has a stone top or an appliance is built in. Count mattresses and box springs separately. An unusually heavy safe, piano or pool table needs an individual removal plan, not automatic inclusion in an ordinary bulky-item quote.

For furniture, show connectors, glass and any wall anchors. For appliances, describe connections and required trade preparation. Do not drag an item outside just to simplify its description.

Show the tightest point and the final loading area.

Useful photos include the item, the room exit, stairs and landings, gate openings and the path to legal loading. Explain elevator reservations and parking restrictions at condos or apartments. We look at the route before deciding whether anything needs taking apart.

For outdoor pickup, agree on the location first and protect access for other people. Keep items you want to retain separate. Curbside placement does not guarantee donation acceptance or same-day collection.

Quote the complete pickup.

Include accessories, extra bags and other items before the estimate. Condition, volume, weight, handling and access inform the price; there is no published universal fee for an undefined “large item.”

We confirm the work and a written price before starting. If the load changes a lot, we agree the new price before loading. Pricing explains what affects the price; same-day availability depends on the actual schedule. For examples, see what affects furniture removal cost and appliance removal cost.
