Junk Removal in Iona, FL
Iona is unincorporated Lee County, so Waste Management (ZIP 33908) picks up your trash weekly and bulky items as needed at the curb. What makes Iona different is the housing: about a third of its 13,500 homes are seasonal, nearly a third are in condo buildings of 10 or more units, and more than one in five is a manufactured home.
Three kinds of Iona jobs
Iona’s housing splits three ways, and each one shapes the job. In condo buildings, the question is the elevator, the loading area and the association’s vendor hours, so see our condo cleanout guide. In the manufactured-home communities, it’s often a whole home being cleared for a sale or a park’s rules (mobile home cleanout). And with roughly a third of homes seasonal, a lot of clear-outs are timed to an owner’s arrival or departure (seasonal home cleanout).

Curbside pickup or a haul?
WM’s weekly service has no limit on the amount, and bulky items such as furniture and appliances are picked up as needed. That works for a house with a driveway. It’s less help in a condo, where anything set out has to follow the association’s rules, or in a park where the curb isn’t yours. Our unincorporated Lee County pickup guide has the full county rules.
Doing it yourself
Household chemicals and old electronics go to Lee County’s Topaz Court facility, about 8 miles from the center of Iona. For bigger loads, the county’s Buckingham facility charges by weight.
