Fuel, oil and loading
No fuel may remain in the tank. Oil handling depends on leakage and the receiving requirements agreed for the job; disclose any leak before scheduling and do not drain fluids into the ordinary load. Battery-powered models need a separate battery review. Tell us whether the machine rolls or needs additional loading work.
Single-stage and two-stage machines handle differently
A compact electric snow blower can have a small housing and folding handle; a two-stage machine adds a heavy auger assembly and discharge chute. Tracked models may be difficult to move when their drive is seized. Leave the auger guarded, and identify detached chutes or controls without forcing old parts back together. No local snow use or working engine is needed for removal.
Storage position can matter as much as machine size
A blower at the garage entrance is a different carry from one behind shelving or up a storage platform. Housing width, track or wheel condition and rusted handles affect loading. If it came south with other unwanted equipment, include those machines separately in the collection rather than packing sharp tools into the auger opening.
Where it can go in Lee County
If you’d rather handle some of it yourself, or it’s still worth giving away, these are the local options. Each organization decides what it accepts, so check with them before you load the car.
