We remove ordinary riding lawn mowers, lawn tractors and zero-turns across Fort Myers and Lee County, with fuel removed and a loading plan suited to the machine. Tell us whether it rolls, steers and can reach the trailer, even if it no longer runs.
Rolling condition changes loading
Remove fuel and disclose battery type, leaks and attached equipment. Flat tires or seized wheels require winching, which affects the quote. Show the machine, ground conditions and the full trailer approach so we can assess access, weight and the equipment needed for loading.
Match the trailer to the machine
Ordinary riding mowers, lawn tractors and zero-turns must roll or be suitable for winching onto a trailer. Garden and compact tractors and large commercial mowers are quoted individually. Heavier machines may need an equipment trailer; we confirm suitable transport from the machine’s weight and access before scheduling.
Measure the mower with its widest attachment
The cutting deck, discharge chute and bagging system may extend beyond the tires. A mower that fits between fence posts without its deck can still be too wide in its current condition. Identify detached attachments separately and leave transport controls alone unless you have the model’s instructions. Hydrostatic bypass settings and towing restrictions differ between machines.
Winching and attachments change the removal work
A non-running mower with free wheels and steering presents a different job from a machine sunk in wet ground with locked wheels. Trailer access, deck width, actual machine weight and the need for winching are meaningful cost factors. A tow-behind cart or lawn sweeper adds its own footprint; it is not automatically included because it connects to the mower.
Where it can go in Lee County
If you’d rather handle some of it yourself, or it’s still worth giving away, these are the local options. Each organization decides what it accepts, so check with them before you load the car.
- Habitat’s ReStore accepts lawn mowers, grills, fountains and gently used tools, but not propane tanks, fuel or gas cans. Goodwill Southwest Florida doesn’t take lawn mowers. Sources: Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties: accepted donations; Goodwill Southwest Florida: donation guide
