We remove framed and sliding shower doors and enclosures, and we can tear out the shower pan and surround as part of a bathroom tear-out. Heavy frameless glass needs a separate look first.
Glass, rails and hardware need a plan
Show the full enclosure, mounting points, door movement and path out of the bathroom. Frameless panels may require suction lifters and a two- or three-person crew, or referral to a glass company. Do not loosen clamps or supports before a method is agreed. Anchor holes in tile remain; waterproofing, repair and new enclosure installation are separate work.
Plan the glass enclosure separately from the bathroom
The enclosure’s frame, hinges and clamps determine the release sequence. Leave every panel supported until that work is ready; taking off one clamp can destabilize more than one piece. The water is shut off and the plumbing disconnected by a licensed plumber before a pan or surround comes out. For glass already detached by a specialist, loose-glass collection addresses the subsequent hauling.
Panel weight and mounting determine crew and equipment
Frameless panels can require specialist glass handling rather than the approach used for a light framed door. Panel size, bathroom turning space and stairs affect the lift. Hardware release is part of the agreed enclosure scope; repairing tile, waterproofing or finish holes is work for the next contractor.
