We haul unwanted mulch and wood chips. Show bags or loose material and describe the depth and approximate area involved.
Material and quantity review
Bagged mulch can be included in landscaping pickup. Wet material or a large spread-out layer takes more shoveling, so show us how much there is. Disclose soil, trash or treated wood mixed into the material. Fertilizers and pesticides go to Lee County’s household chemical drop-off at Topaz Court (drop-off sites).
Define what stays beneath and beside the chips
Landscape fabric, edging, roots and irrigation should not be treated as part of loose mulch by assumption. A staged surplus pile is different from stripping a planted bed. Mark retained plants and identify mixed material. Separate soil removal may be relevant where a mulch pile includes substantial earth.
Depth and shoveling access determine the work
Bagged surplus can be loaded differently from a wet, spread-out layer. Thickness, moisture and contamination with stones or treated wood affect weight and handling. A gate and long carry may require repeated small loads. Grinding wood, excavating beds and rebuilding landscaping are separate from the agreed material removal.
What to photograph for an estimate
Show the pile from two sides with something in the frame for scale, and whether it’s loose, bundled or bagged. Palm fronds and limbs are bulky; logs and stumps are heavy.
