Leaves and bagged yard waste can be collected as a one-time yard-debris load. Show the number of bags or the size of the loose pile and where it can be reached.
Keep the leaf load identifiable
Separate leaves from trash, chemical containers and other material. Tell us if the pile is wet, contains branches or is spread across several areas. We quote the agreed collection and loading work; a pickup request does not automatically include a lawn-maintenance or ongoing collection service.
Gathered leaves and landscape maintenance are different jobs
A staged pile or manageable containers can be collected without treating the whole yard as a leaf-clearing contract. Decide whether some clean leaves will remain for mulch or compost before collection. Keep rocks and rubbish distinct; branches mixed through the pile can belong in the branch-removal plan.
Moisture and the spread of the material affect labor
A dry loose mound is not the same load as soaked compacted leaves. Several piles across a yard require more collecting and carrying than one accessible stack. Containers must hold their contents during lifting. Identify whether the request is for existing gathered material or additional collection work so the scope is clear.

Where it can go in Lee County
If you’d rather handle some of it yourself, or it’s still worth giving away, these are the local options. Each organization decides what it accepts, so check with them before you load the car.
- In Lee County service areas, yard waste (grass clippings, tree limbs and branches, palm fronds, leaves, dead plants) goes out once a week in a container of 50 pounds or less, or tied in bundles no heavier than 50 pounds and no longer than 6 feet. The county asks you not to bag it: it’s shredded for mulch. Source: Lee County Solid Waste: yard waste
