Separate, upright handling
Batteries are carried upright, separated from the ordinary load and recorded on the job inventory. A battery recycler or scrap outlet must be arranged as the receiving destination. Household batteries go to Lee County’s household chemical drop-off at Topaz Court (drop-off sites); tell us about loose lithium packs and leaking or damaged units so we can tell you where they go.
Keep battery type visible and the group separate
Car, mower, golf-cart and UPS batteries can look similar while differing in size and chemistry. Identify intact lead-acid units rather than calling a mixed collection “batteries.” A seller’s return or core arrangement may suit a replacement battery.
