We take down and haul away greenhouses, from plastic-covered hoop houses and polycarbonate kits to glass-paned structures. Send photos of the frame, the glazing (intact and broken) and how it’s anchored. For a glass greenhouse, the photos let us plan how the panes come out.
Before we come
Move the plants you’re keeping and take fertilizers, pesticides and other chemicals out; they don’t go in a junk load, and Lee County takes them from residents at its Topaz Court drop-off. Have any water or power connections disconnected. Benches, pots and shelving can go with the structure; list them.
Glass needs a plan
Plastic film and polycarbonate panels come off quickly. Glass panes come out one at a time, and broken panes are handled separately so nobody gets cut. Don’t break the glass to make the greenhouse smaller, and don’t loosen supports early; a frame missing its supports can drop panes. Large loose panes are covered by our glass removal guide.
What changes the price
The size, the glazing (plastic, polycarbonate or glass), the height, how it’s anchored and the carry across the yard. If there’s a slab, block base or buried lines, send photos and we’ll tell you how they get handled. See how pricing works.
Where it can go in Lee County
If you’d rather handle some of it yourself, or it’s still worth giving away, these are the local options. Each organization decides what it accepts, so check with them before you load the car.
