We haul away hydroponic and indoor-growing setups: pumps, reservoirs, racks, trays, grow tents, fans, carbon filters, timers and grow lights. Drain everything, take out the plants, nutrients and chemicals, and send photos of the setup and the way out.
Before we come
Drain the reservoirs and pumps. Nutrients, pH solutions, pesticides and other chemicals don’t go in the load; Lee County takes household chemicals from residents at its Topaz Court drop-off. Take the plants out. Have anything hardwired disconnected by an electrician. CO2 tanks stay out of the load; tell us if there are any.
Lights and frames
Ordinary LED panels and fixtures go with the racks. Tell us which lamps are metal halide, high-pressure sodium or fluorescent; those are handled separately from the rest of the load. Tents fold down; steel racks and hanging fixtures take longer to take apart. For the shelving itself, see shelving removal.
What changes the price
Big reservoirs are bulky even when empty and have to fit through the door at full size. Steel racks and hanging lights add weight and take-down time. Tell us how many tents or racks there are and which room they’re in. A handyman handles wall repair, and a licensed electrician handles any wiring changes. See how pricing works.
Where it can go in Lee County
If you’d rather handle some of it yourself, or it’s still worth giving away, these are the local options. Each organization decides what it accepts, so check with them before you load the car.
- Paint, pool chemicals, pesticides and propane tanks don’t go in a junk load; Lee County takes them from residents free at Topaz Court. Household chemical drop-off Source: Lee County Solid Waste: Topaz Court facility
