We collect chandeliers after they have been safely disconnected and removed. If it’s hard-wired, a licensed electrician disconnects and takes it down first; then we haul it away.
Protect crystals, shades and loose pieces
Have the appropriate electrician prepare the fixture, then show its size, weight and current storage position. Keep fragile parts contained and identify anything that belongs with the chandelier. Do not climb or suspend it again for photos. A worthwhile piece may be considered for reuse only if a recipient accepts it; no resale value or donation result is promised.
Protect the lowered fixture without hanging it again
Arms, crystal drops and shades can move independently of the main body. Keep the chandelier securely supported after the electrician lowers it, with loose pieces contained. If reuse is the goal, keep its matching parts together. Ordinary detached light fixtures also need bulb types distinguished from the fitting itself.
Span and fragile projections affect carrying space
A broad chandelier may be awkward through a door even when its central body is small. Weight, delicate arms, stairs and loose glass affect handling. The pickup begins with safely released and lowered equipment. Ceiling work, hardwired disconnection and reinstalling a valuable fixture elsewhere are separate arrangements.
