One unwanted chair can go with a larger furniture pickup or be the reason for the visit. Tell us whether you have a dining chair, upholstered armchair or a set with different sizes; count every seat that is leaving.
Different chairs need different handling
Show the arms, legs and seat condition. A wide armchair may need a different exit from a narrow dining chair, and loose legs can change how it is carried. Keep the chair where it sits for the estimate rather than carrying it down stairs yourself. Powered recliners and lift chairs need their mechanism and power supply identified separately.
Decide which parts of the seating group are leaving
Check cushion gaps and side pockets for belongings, then identify the chair and any matching footrest separately. A sound frame with usable upholstery can suit reuse; a collapsed arm or loose leg changes where the crew can support it. Keep the chair in its room instead of dragging it by a damaged part. Powered seating has its own lift-chair handling considerations.
Frame width and chair count matter more than seat count
An armchair’s fixed back and broad arms can make it harder to turn than several narrow dining chairs. Solid frames, stairs and non-removable legs add carrying work. An ottoman or second chair adds to the load even when it matches the same set; identify all the pieces that should leave.
