We haul away CD, DVD and Blu-ray collections, along with their cases and the racks or shelves that held them. Before the pickup, pull out family videos, backups and anything else you want to keep.
Pull out what you’re keeping
A shelf of movies and music often hides home recordings, wedding videos and old computer backups. Go through it before the pickup. Hauling discs away doesn’t destroy what’s on them, so arrange shredding or secure destruction yourself for discs with personal or business records.
Selling or donating
Usable discs are easier to pass on when each one is in its matching case. Goodwill Southwest Florida accepts books and media in usable condition, and the Friends of the Fort Myers Beach Public Library accepts saleable DVDs. Scratched discs and empty cases are usually not wanted. A bookcase or media rack can go in the same pickup.
What changes the price
Discs are small but heavy in bulk, so a big collection adds up. Pack them in boxes you can lift. The number of boxes, any racks or shelving, and the stairs between them and the truck set the job. See how pricing works.
