We haul away old cameras and camera gear: film and digital bodies, lenses, tripods, studio lighting and bags. Take out the memory cards first, set aside anything you plan to sell, and tell us what’s in the bags.
Photos and data
Pull the memory cards and save what you need before the gear leaves. Erase or recover photos yourself before pickup; the gear leaves as it is. Businesses with privacy obligations should remove and destroy the cards and drives themselves. A phone or tablet needs its own account and data steps.
Batteries
Take loose rechargeable batteries out of the bags. They don’t go in a junk load. If a battery is stuck in a camera, swollen or leaking, tell us and leave it as it is; don’t pry it out.
What changes the price
One camera is a small item. A studio’s worth of tripods, light stands, cases and backdrops takes real space. Tell us roughly how much there is and whether anything is broken glass. Goodwill Southwest Florida accepts working household electronics, so working gear may be worth donating first. See how pricing works.
Where it can go in Lee County
If you’d rather handle some of it yourself, or it’s still worth giving away, these are the local options. Each organization decides what it accepts, so check with them before you load the car.
