We remove portable electric space heaters that are unplugged, cool and ready to handle. Tell us the heater type and disclose leaks, damage or any fuel container before pickup.
Electric heaters and fuel equipment
Keep an oil-filled radiator heater intact and report any leakage; do not drain it for pickup. Gas cylinders, liquid fuel and fuel-bearing equipment need separate review and are not ordinary small-appliance contents. Installed or hardwired heaters need the appropriate trade to disconnect them first.
Keep sealed radiator heaters intact
An oil-filled electric radiator contains sealed material that should remain inside, even when the heater no longer works. A fuel-powered heater instead needs its fuel and cylinder arrangements resolved before hauling. Installed heating equipment requires safe release. The prepared furnace guide covers a much larger connected heating cabinet.
Heater construction changes weight and preparation
A lightweight fan heater is different from a dense oil-filled radiator or a tall patio heater. Leaks or fuel change acceptance and must be addressed separately. Quantity, stair carrying and detached stands affect removal. Do not drain a sealed electric heater to reduce the apparent weight.
