Portable fans can be removed with other household appliances. Show whether yours is a box fan, tower fan, pedestal fan or a larger shop fan, and include its base and guard.
Loose parts and fixed installations
Unplug the fan and keep loose stands or guards with it. Tell us about sharp broken plastic or metal so it can be handled appropriately. Ceiling fans and permanently installed ventilation equipment are separate from portable fans and require connection and mounting details before removal.
Keep guards and stands with their own fan
A pedestal head, weighted base and adjustment pole can become loose pieces if the fan is dismantled too early. Keep it assembled where stable and identify broken guards or sharp blades. A misting tank needs to be emptied as part of preparation. Detached installed fixtures belong with light-fixture and fan disposal, not ordinary portable-fan pickup.
A weighted pedestal changes a lightweight-looking load
Large floor fans and heavy bases take different handling from small desk fans. The number of units, loose stands and access from storage affect the collection. A working complete guard can matter for reuse; missing protection or a damaged cord should be described rather than offered as a ready-to-use fan.
