We haul away old projectors (home-theater, office and classroom) with their screens, stands and carts. Tell us whether it’s portable, on a cart or mounted on the ceiling, and which pieces go.
Portable or mounted
A portable projector just needs to be unplugged and cool. A ceiling-mounted unit needs a safe way down, and anything hardwired is disconnected by an electrician first. Pull-down screens, wall mounts and hidden cables are part of the room; tell us if you want them out, and know that patching the ceiling or wall afterward is for your contractor.
Lamps
Leave the lamp in the projector. Lamp types vary, and they’re fragile, so keep them contained. If a lamp is broken or the housing is cracked, tell us, and don’t sweep the fragments into the box. Other audio and video equipment can go in the same pickup.
What changes the price
A single desktop projector is a small item. A high ceiling mount, a big screen, a cart or a room’s worth of AV gear adds up. Goodwill Southwest Florida accepts working household electronics, so a working home unit may be worth donating first. See how pricing works.
Where it can go in Lee County
If you’d rather handle some of it yourself, or it’s still worth giving away, these are the local options. Each organization decides what it accepts, so check with them before you load the car.
