Top-down dismantling and equipment review
Our method takes pallet racking down from the top. Tall systems need suitable lifting equipment and a trained crew; their availability and method must be established for the job. Empty stored inventory and identify adjacent racks that remain. Do not unbolt structural-looking parts or load-bearing supports before a reviewed dismantling plan.
Inventory, anchors and site access
Confirm ownership and written removal permission. Dock windows, floor conditions, power or installed conveyor connections and access for equipment all affect scope. Surface repair, freight handling and removal of unrelated installed systems are not assumed. No scrap payout is promised.
Before the racking comes down
The racks need to be empty, and the floor around them clear, before dismantling starts. Tell us how many bays there are and how tall, whether the beams carry wire decking, and how the uprights are anchored, and send a photo of one full bay with something for scale. If the landlord requires the anchor holes filled or the floor restored, that’s separate work.
What affects warehouse racking removal cost?
Racking is priced by the number of bays, their height and how they are anchored, plus the equipment needed to take tall frames down safely. Empty racks with clear floor space around them come down fastest. See how pricing works.
What comes apart, and in what order
Pallet racking is built from upright frames, horizontal beams locked in with safety clips, wire decking or panels on the beams, and anchors bolted into the slab. It comes down in roughly the reverse order it went up: decking first, then beams from the top down, then the frames. Tall frames need a lift and a crew trained to lower them under control.
Anchors can be cut flush with the floor or backed out; tell us which you need, especially if new racking or a tenant inspection comes next. The steel is heavy but compact once it’s down, and if your site recycles metal under the county’s business recycling rules, it can go to a scrap recycler instead of disposal.

- In unincorporated Lee County and Bonita Springs, Ordinance 07-25 requires businesses and multifamily properties to recycle the material that makes up most of their waste by weight, such as cardboard and other fiber, containers, metals or wood.
