We remove flat-screen, tube, rear-projection and cabinet televisions. Screen size is only part of the description: cabinet depth, weight and the way the set is supported determine the carry. A thin display and an old tube television with the same screen measurement are very different objects.

Leave large screens and mounted equipment supported until the crew is ready. Identify the bracket, stand, speakers and other components that should leave, keeping retained devices separate.

Size, depth and weight: what the photo should show

Include the television’s type if known: flat-screen, older tube/CRT, rear-projection or a cabinet model. Give an approximate size and show the base or cabinet. A wide screen and a deep older television present different carrying problems even if their screen sizes sound similar.

Photograph separate stands, cabinets, speakers and other electronics only if they are leaving too. A TV quote does not automatically include the room’s furniture. The furniture removal guide helps when the entertainment cabinet is part of a larger clear-out.

Identify the mount and leave its supports secured.

A wall mount may use hooks, locking screws or an articulated arm behind the screen. The crew needs the actual arrangement and room for a supported lift, with a clear decision about whether the bracket remains. Concealed wiring, wall repairs and changing the wall are separate work.

Disclose screen damage before handling. A cracked flat panel and a broken CRT tube need different arrangements; do not remove glass or break a television further to reduce its weight.

Depth and weight affect doorway turns as well as stairs.

A CRT cabinet projects far behind its screen and concentrates weight toward its tube. A rear-projection set can have a large floor-standing cabinet. Identify the doorway turn, stair landing and floor-level changes without moving the set yourself to test the route.

In a condo, use the permitted elevator and loading route. For an away owner, written instructions should distinguish the television and accessories from an entertainment center that may be staying.

Handle smart-TV accounts before releasing the set.

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to sign out of accounts and handle stored information before pickup. Keep streaming boxes, drives and other personal devices if they are staying. Our crew does not power on the television, recover passwords or erase data.

For self-transport, Lee County lists televisions in its household electronics program. Confirm current instructions and the set’s condition before loading it. Check broken CRT handling separately from an intact television.

Television construction and mounting affect removal cost.

A loose flat-screen at ground level requires different work from a heavy tube set upstairs or a large mounted display. Cabinet dimensions, fragile components, bracket release and carrying access influence the estimate. Include a stand or cabinet only when it is also leaving.

A retailer’s replacement service or a suitable collection program may cover transport if you can meet its physical-handling requirements. Our pickup handles the agreed carry-out and other unwanted items when those are the obstacles.
