We remove unwanted playpens and portable play yards. Identify the frame, pad, bassinet inserts and other pieces that should leave before preparing the pickup.
Do not force stuck frames
Show the playpen assembled or folded as it currently sits. Tell us about broken hinges, sharp frame parts or contamination; do not force a jammed latch to collapse it. Keep retained bedding or accessories separate. Collection is not a safety inspection or reuse certification.
Keep the original pad distinct from added bedding
A play yard’s original components belong with its frame, while blankets and extra padding may be personal belongings to retain. Leave jammed rails in their stable position rather than partially collapsing the structure. Other unwanted nursery equipment should be identified separately; removal is not a safety inspection for reuse.
Open dimensions and damaged locks affect carrying
A playpen that will not fold takes more room through a doorway than its carrying bag suggests. Broken mesh, sharp frame ends and detachable accessories change handling. Include the pad, bag and intended attachments explicitly. A missing or failed lock should not be concealed by presenting the equipment as ready for another child.
