We remove countertop, over-the-range and ordinary plug-in trim-kit microwaves. A countertop appliance can be collected on its own or with other unwanted kitchen items. A mounted unit stays secured until its supported removal is ready.

Unplug a loose appliance, remove food and belongings, and identify whether the turntable and trim are leaving. Keep the casing closed even if the microwave no longer works.

Upper-cabinet bolts and a rear bracket support many range models.

An over-the-range microwave often hangs from a wall bracket and bolts through the cabinet above. Releasing one attachment without supporting the unit can let it drop. Leave all fixings secured for the crew and identify the ordinary plug or any hardwired supply.

Hardwired equipment needs an electrician first. A plug-in trim-kit unit can be removed with its ordinary trim preparation; identify trim and cabinetry being kept. Ventilation changes, cabinet alteration and replacement installation are separate work.

A working microwave may be useful without a hauling visit.

For a usable countertop unit, a confirmed recipient who can collect it may be a practical alternative. Include its dimensions, turntable and known condition so the recipient can decide whether it fits. Do not pass on a recalled or unsafe appliance as ready to use.

If removal is needed, combine other unwanted kitchen items in the same request. A retailer’s replacement service may already include the old microwave; confirm whether that covers taking down a mounted unit as well as transporting it.

Door damage and loose glass need attention before carrying.

Identify broken door glass, a missing cover or loose sharp parts. Do not open the casing or remove electrical components, even when unplugged. A glass turntable should remain identified with the appliance rather than loose among unrelated boxes.

For a vacant property, mark the microwave that goes and any built-in replacement that stays. An appliance can belong to the property even when other kitchen contents are being cleared.
