A glass table or loose tabletop needs its own handling plan. Tell us whether the glass is intact, cracked or already broken, and show the edges and supporting base without moving the glass for a better photo.
Keep the glass supported
Do not deliberately break a tabletop to reduce its size. Identify any loose panels, chips or sharp edges and describe how the glass currently rests. Include the frame only if it should leave too. Already-broken glass needs agreed containment before collection; never hide fragments among ordinary bags or furniture.
Plan the glass and its support together
A top resting on pads can separate differently from glass fastened to a metal frame. Removing it may leave exposed brackets or an unstable base, so decide whether that base is staying before the lift. For multiple detached sheets rather than a furniture top, loose glass removal addresses the rack, edges and panel count.
Panel dimensions and damage determine the handling
Thickness, overall size and the number of glass pieces influence the weight and support needed. A cracked top requires different containment from an intact one, and stairs increase the work of carrying a rigid panel. The frame’s weight and connections also count when the complete table is going; breaking the glass does not simplify the job.
