We remove aquariums after the tank is drained and the customer has rehomed all fish or other animals. Pumps and equipment must be unplugged, and gravel or rock removed or bagged because of their weight.
Glass, stands and dense contents
Show the complete tank, stand and equipment selected for removal. Large tanks and stands need a separate review. Identify cracks, broken edges and remaining dense material before handling. We never take live animals or manage rehoming; do not assume fish, water and aquarium contents are incidental parts of the tank pickup.
Plan the whole empty system, including the stand
A reef setup can leave a sump, filters, pumps and a cabinet after the display tank is drained. Identify those pieces and clear treatments or chemicals from storage. Live animals must already be rehomed. The prepared stand is a distinct cabinet removal item rather than incidental packaging for the glass tank.
Thick glass and remaining gravel add concentrated weight
An empty large aquarium can still be a substantial lift. Tank dimensions, panel damage and door turns affect support; stairs add carrying difficulty. Gravel and rock need separate containment and quantities established. A tank described as drained should not conceal a wet heavy substrate or water inside a connected sump.
