We clear basements and lower-level rooms: furniture, boxes, old equipment and everything stored down there, carried up the stairs for you. Show bulky furniture, stored boxes and any equipment that needs special handling.
Contents and the route upstairs
Identify narrow stairs, low clearances, loose rails, moisture and any blocked exit. Do not carry heavy items upstairs for the estimate. Standing water, hazardous material or unsafe structure must be addressed before ordinary hauling. Installed utilities, foundation work and water mitigation are outside a contents cleanout.
Sort with an authorized contact
Mark keeps and describe what is inside stored boxes. Light sorting can be included under the decision-maker's direction; the crew does not decide the value of family belongings. Include every storage area and the desired level of cleanup in the written scope.
What affects basement cleanout cost?
The stairs are the biggest factor: everything has to come up them, so narrow or steep stairs, tight turns and low ceilings add time. Heavy appliances and furniture are priced one by one, while boxes and light storage go by volume.
